Rose Bowl Flea Market

Rose Bowl Flea Market

Every second Sunday of the month the Rose Bowl holds what is hands down the best Flea Markets on the west coast. Featuring over 2,500 vendors and 20,000 buyers, The Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, California has been going strong for over 45 years!

Although the market is a must-see for both SoCal residents and vacationers alike, it can also be very overwhelming. See below for some of our tips and tricks so you navigate the market like a pro.

Arrive early.

You can get a special VIP admission from 5:00am – 7:00am at $20.00 per person, early bird admission from 7:00am – 8:00am at $15.00 per person, express admission from 8:00am – 9:00am at $11.00 per person and general admission beginning at 9 am for $9.00 per person. Children under 12 are admitted free with an adult. Although early VIP admission is awesome, it is important to note that all vendors are not fully moved in and set up until 9am. The box office is open until 3pm after which time sellers begin packing up and leaving.

Be prepared.

Being prepared comes in many forms at the Rose Bowl. Make sure to bring reusable bags, as most retailers do not provide any. If you have a small rolling cart that’s even better as you’re often there for more than just an hour. Dress comfortable! Although some treat it as so, the Flea Market is not a fashion show. Wear comfortable clothes and more importantly comfortable shoes as the Rose Bowl is huge and you will be walking a lot.

Come hungry.

There are a plethora of food and drink options available. Some of them include: danishes, cinnabon rolls, hamburgers, cheese burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, tacos, burritos, french fries, garlic fries, gourmet pretzels, Louisiana hot link, tri tip, pulled pork, pizza, rice bowls, sushi, snacks, sodas, water, coffee, frozen lemonade, fruit drinks, smoothies, energy drinks, beer, wine, and cocktails. Prices are in the $1.50 to $9.00 range. The market special is a hot dog and a drink for $3.00.

There is plenty of free parking to visitors along with VIP preferred parking close to the entrance. Coming in a group? You’re in luck! They even provide free parking for groups in busses. The busses lot is just outside the main entrance and each member of a group will receive $3.00 off their admission. If you have a private guide they will receive free admission (as well as your driver). If you’re visiting and not sure where to find a bus/driver/guide.. contact Strack Transportation today or visit for more details. Happy thrifting!
