USC Game Day

USC Game Day

Football season consists of traditions like pregaming near statues of Tommy Trojan and Traveler on the University of Southern California Campus or at the Associates Picnic outside of the Los Angeles Coliseum. Of course, the USC experience includes fans before and during the game greeting each other with shouts of “Fight on” and throwing up the “V” for their victory salute. Get ready to start tailgating and cheer on the Trojans. USC is finally back at home in the coliseum this Saturday, October 7th playing Oregon State.

To get the full USC game day experience it is crucial that you tailgate. Make sure to arrive early to join the festivities on campus, not just for the tasty pregame food, but to join the school spirit with other Trojan fans. At many home games there are family areas that include face painting and games for the kids, and it is always a new experience to see what T-shirts, hats, jewelry and other novelties the campus Book Store has to offer. The Trojan game day experience is fun for all ages in Alumni Park.

In order for fans to have enough play time and to get ready for the 1 pm kickoff, tailgating begins at 6 a.m. and closes at kickoff. Permits are required for large tailgate parties on the USC grounds, while the medium sized parties and anyone using electricity will need to register online. To guarantee a space fans can register online early.

Of course football games means there will be drinking so it is imperative that you find a DD or trust a premier transportation company like Strack Transportation. After filling up on some yummy tailgate goodies and adult beverages it’s time to join the Trojan fans in storming the Coliseum and cheering the team on to victory!
